Aquatic Engineer
Charlie L, Schneider, P.E., AFO, CPO
Mr. Schneider is a civil engineer and specialized aquatics facility designer. He leads the Lexington Engineering Division of the firm and brings more than 30 years of experience in municipal aquatic centers, designing aquatic centers, splash pads, natatoriums, and community pools, including layout, system design, and pool mechanical systems. In addition to his technical skills, Mr. Schneider is a Certified Pool Operator.

Project Manager
Philip N. Schilffarth, AIA, CID,
LEED AP, AFO
Mr. Schilffarth is the Principal of BCI’s Recreation Division. He has 18 years of experience and focuses the majority of his professional development in recreation and aquatic design. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and maintains credentials as an Aquatic Facility Operator.

Landscape Architect
Patrick D. Hoagland, ASLA
Mr. Hoagland has more than 40 years of experience. He has evolved as one of the nations most-recognized park systems planning and design experts and has been a key reason why BCI now is providing recreational planning and design services throughout the United States. He has completed 100 park and recreation system master plans and more than 300 individual park design assignments in his career. He also has established regional recognition for his urban design experience.

Planning Engineer
Benjamin E. Brandstetter, P.E.,
LEED GA
Mr. Brandstetter is a Professional Engineer with 25 years’ experience and serves as BCI’s President. His experience includes projects for local, state, and federal transportation departments. He is well versed in roadway design, traffic engineering, traffic studies, and traffic impact statements.

Principal-in-Charge
Nancy K. Nozik, AIA
Ms. Nozik is the Division Principal for BCI’s Cleveland office. She is a Registered Architect with 35 years of experience in the design and management of architectural projects. She has worked on recreational, cultural, educational, municipal, and corporate facilities for both profit and non-profit organizations in Ohio and across the country. Her experience in design, construction documents, client relations, project management, construction administration, presentations, and meeting facilitation are an asset to every project.

Project Manager
Richard T. Parker, AIA, LEED AP
Mr. Parker is a widely respected leader in camp, nature center, and environmental education communities. His knowledge, experience and insight into the intricacies and nuances of mission-driven organizations and their stewardship of out-of-doors-based facilities offers clients a valuable perspective. His responsibilities are crafted specifically for each project. He often serves as Lead Design Architect, will lead vision strategy sessions and planning development, and also is the senior design architect for most development initiatives.

Planner & GIS Specialist
Keith Rodenhauser, AICP, GISP,
SITES AP
Mr. Rodenhauser is a planner and a GIS professional. In his 11 years at BCI, he has prepared and managed more than 50 planning projects in multiple states. He has led public engagement events, including stakeholder meetings and open house workshops. He also has been responsible for benchmarking and case studies, level of service guidelines, capital improvement recommendations, and GIS analyses.

Planner & GIS Specialist
John Bucher, AICP, PMP
Mr. Bucher is a planner and project manager with experience in resilience, climate adaptation, parks and recreation, tourism, and transportation. This experience includes leading, designing, and conducting GIS-based assessments; policy and program development; community engagement; and grant application preparation.

Project Manager
Jeffery Immel
Jeffrey Immel has 4 years of experience and joined BCI in 2023. He is experienced in utility design, stormwater management, S.W.P.P.P.s and ADA compliance. He also has experience in utility scale solar energy farms and hydrogen storage and distribution for use in EVs. Additionally, he is an expert in crafting narratives to achieve positive rulings in zoning appeal/variance cases.

Joseph I. Marwil, RLA, MLA
Mr. Marwil has worked in many parts of the country including Philadelphia, Oakland, Berkeley, San Francisco, and Vancouver, B.C. He has worked on a wide range of projects including parks and plazas for housing and urban development, large park master plans, streetscapes, municipal sidewalk projects, and master planning for several university campuses.

Aquatic Designer
Richard Speake
Mr. Speake has more than 20 years of experience in Aquatic Concept Design for parks, recreation, and municipal projects. Working directly with project leaders, owners, and vendors, he crafts designs that support the client’s vision. His designs are unique, safe, and functional, and work to ensure maximum play value.

Project Manager
Dan Joyce
Mr. Joyce has more than 10 years of experience in architecture. He provides design, production and management support on a wide variety of projects. Additionally, he assists with consulting with clients and coordinating with the other consultants working on projects. He is knowledgeable in Revit, BIM, and Navisworks.

BIM/CAD Technician
Michael Stark
Mr. Stark has more than 25 years’ experience preparing technical construction documents for buildings ranging from $100,000 to $20 million. He has been working in BIM (Building Information Modeling) for 15 years and can quickly bring a project to life in three dimensions.

Construction Administrator
David Bales
Mr. Bales has nearly 25 years of experience, the majority of which has been in the construction industry. He has served as a Senior Project Manager and Director of Production and has managed more than $270 million total in construction throughout his career. He is skilled in maintaining original design intent and quality standards.

Principal-in-Charge
Mary Ann A. Mitchell, AIA
Ms. Mitchell is the Principal-in-Charge of BCI’s Dallas Division serving Texas and Oklahoma. She has 40 years of experience in architecture and design. She leads all phases of the design process; planning and budgeting, building design, space planning, interiors/environmental design, spatial and functional programming, stakeholder charrette facilitation, and program roll-out coordination and oversight.
Ms. Mitchell’s strong interpersonal and organizational skills help her guide clients through the complexity of a project and manage the design team efficiently at every stage of the project.

Project Coordinator
Amanda Heger
Ms. Heger is a Project Coordinator and Designer in BCI’s Dallas office. She dedicates her time to assisting project managers on an array of projects within the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area. Furthermore, she actively works with colleagues to develop interior design schemes and enhance the overall quality and functionality of the project. Additionally, she engages in client consultations and collaborates seamlessly with other consultants involved in the project.

Illustration/Graphics
Stevie Moore
Mr. Moore is an architectural illustrator and develops and produces visual collateral for a variety of projects, including commercial and municipal buildings, libraries, courthouses, and public safety facilities, among others. Additionally, he assists with consulting with clients for planning assignments, and creates graphic presentation material and visuals. He also coordinates with the entire design team for cohesive design efforts and implementation.

Design Coordinator
Gregory C. Willett
Mr. Willett is an intern architect in BCI’s Lexington office. He focuses on creating appropriate and efficient interior designs for a variety of projects, including municipal facilities, libraries, courthouses, public safety facilities, among others. Additionally, he assists with consulting with clients for planning assignments, creates graphic presentation material and visuals. He also coordinates with the entire design team for cohesive design efforts and implementation.
