Following the completion of the Elyria Park System Master Plan prepared by Brandstetter Carroll Inc., the City of Elyria passed a Recreation levy to implement several park projects over the course of five years. The South Park Sprayground replaces a former swimming pool. The Sprayground is located adjacent to the existing Recreation Center and Restroom Building. Construction cost was $260,500.
